Feast of Christ The King Celebrated in Jaipur Diocese

Jaipur, 25 November 2025 — Jaipur diocese marked the Feast of Christ the King with devotion and joy, gathering more than 1,000 faithful at the St Angela Sophia School campus, which served as the venue in its centenary year. The celebration highlighted the diocese’s gratitude for God’s blessings and strengthened unity among the Catholic community.

The Eucharist was led by Bishop Joseph Kallarackal and concelebrated by Bishop Emeritus Oswald J Lewis and priests from across the city. In the homily, diocesan chancellor Jijo Varghese emphasised that the kingship of Christ is rooted in love, sacrifice and service, calling the faithful to be active witnesses of peace, justice and reconciliation in society.

A Eucharistic procession followed through the streets, forming a powerful public expression of faith through prayer, hymns and silent adoration, offering participants a renewed sense of hope and belonging.

The event also acknowledged the 100-year legacy of St Angela Sophia School, recognising its contribution to faith-based education and service in the region.

The celebration at Sacred Heart Church, Ghat Gate, concluded with a spirit of gratitude and renewed dedication to Christ, inspiring the faithful to continue strengthening their commitment to their mission in the Church and the wider community.
