August 5, 2025: The BJP, which claims to love Christians and minorities, must answer for this too. For over five years, there has been no Christian representation in the National Minority Commission. An entire term has passed denying Christians their rightful representation. Now, there is no justification for extending the appointment of the new Commission. The Minority Commission has effectively become defunct—there is no chairman or members.
There is also no Christian representation in the National Commission for Minority Education. At present, there is only one member in total.
It was the BJP government that removed the two Lok Sabha seats reserved for Anglo-Indian Christians since India’s independence, as well as the nominated Anglo-Indian members in the state assemblies. The injustice done to the Anglo-Indian Christians, a micro-minority within minorities, will not be forgiven by God.
It was also the BJP government that denied permission to Pope Francis—who had openly expressed his desire to visit India. They merely used technicalities as a smokescreen. I know this matter firsthand, as I had travelled with Pope Francis for a week in Myanmar and Bangladesh.
The ongoing and past attacks on minorities in Manipur, Kandhamal, and the Hindi-speaking states—including condemnable and brutal murders, rapes, and other atrocities—could not continue without the direct and indirect support of BJP governments. The BJP government cannot blame anyone else for the false case against two innocent nuns in Chhattisgarh, who were humiliated and jailed for nine days.
It is the same communal forces that are responsible for the deaths of Graham Staines, his children, Sister Rani Maria, and Father Stan Swamy.
Where is “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”? If the rule of law and the Constitution were implemented, incidents like those in Chhattisgarh would never happen. Christians, as a people, are generally not fools.
