Panaji, Goa: As the 18th Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St. Francis Xavier begins on November 21 in Old Goa, Catholic Connect has introduced a range of services to support pilgrims and enhance their spiritual journey. The app, which offers comprehensive features for the Catholic community, will provide special assistance, resources and digital access for the faithful attending the 45 day event, including those who are unable to visit in person.
Following a recent visit to Goa, where Catholic Connect’s team met with the Exposition organizers, the two groups agreed to collaborate closely. The Exposition team, impressed by Catholic Connect’s mission, embraced the partnership, granting the app exclusive access to offer insights and updates on this revered event.
Catholic Connect will offer dedicated lines for the elderly and the sick, ensuring their safe and comfortable participation in the relic veneration. In addition, a detailed sitemap will be made available through the app, highlighting designated areas for prayer, relic veneration and other facilities within the shrine. This feature will also provide in-depth information about the Sacred Relics, enriching the spiritual understanding of the visitors.
For a more immersive experience, the App will offer audio-guided tours, where pilgrims can learn about the history of the Church and St. Francis Xavier.
The app allows pilgrims to sign up and book masses directly through its platform, making it easier for visitors to participate in all aspects of the pilgrimage. Moreover, for those unable to attend in person, Catholic Connect will support live streaming of the major events, ensuring that Catholics around the world can virtually join in the exposition and witness the solemn ceremonies.
