Catholic Bishop Urges Media Students to Uphold Ethical Values

Delhi, August 20, 2025 – Bhaskar Jesuraj, Bishop of Meerut, called on students of media and communication to uphold ethical and moral values as the guiding principles of their academic journey and future careers. Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for new students at NISCORT Media College, Delhi, on 19 August, Bishop Jesuraj stressed that while academic excellence is important, credibility, compassion, and integrity must remain at the heart of journalism and storytelling. “Your foremost responsibility is to uphold ethical and moral values in every aspect of life and profession,” he reminded the students.

NISCORT Media College, a professional training institute for journalism and mass communication studies, inaugurated the academic session 2025–2026 with an orientation day that combined tradition, academic purpose, and community spirit. The programme formally welcomed the incoming batch while celebrating the achievements of the previous year.


Fr. Rodrigues Robinson, Director, and Dr. Ritu Dubey Tiwari, Principal, addressed the gathering, outlining NISCORT’s student-centric vision and its commitment to value-based media education.


A Certificate Distribution Ceremony recognised students for co-curricular and academic accomplishments from 2024–2025, celebrating leadership, creativity, teamwork, and scholarly excellence alongside classroom performance. Assistant Professor Ms. Kamakshi Thakur expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, staff, and students who contributed to the success of the event.
