Dearest Heavenly Father, we are deeply moved by the life and example of Your faithful and humble servant, St. Teresa of Calcutta. Though she was small in stature, You used her in extraordinary ways to transform countless lives through her loving care for the sick, elderly and dying.

We thank You for filling St. Teresa's heart with Your divine love, through which so many suffering people experienced compassion, dignity and care. Grant us hearts that are pure, generous and loving like hers.

Her loving service to the suffering revealed her profound faith, for in caring for wounded and dying people, she recognized and served Christ Himself.

Help us to see Jesus in every person who is sick, elderly or dying, and give us compassionate hearts and willing hands to serve them with love.

St. Teresa once shared the story of a dying woman who had been abandoned by her son. Through patient love and encouragement, the woman was finally able to forgive her son before she died. May we also learn from St. Teresa the healing power of forgiveness and love.

Holy St. Teresa, the love of Christ Crucified burned within your heart and made you a radiant witness of His mercy. Help us remain close to those who suffer and recognize Christ beneath their suffering.

Dearest Heavenly Father, we are inspired by the life of Your faithful servant, St. Teresa of Calcutta, whose small stature concealed the great work You accomplished through her. She dedicated herself to caring for the hungry and the poorest of the poor.

We thank You for filling her heart with love, enabling thousands of hungry and forgotten people to experience dignity, compassion and nourishment. Give us hearts that are pure, generous and ready to share.

Through her service to the poor, St. Teresa demonstrated that feeding those who are hungry is also an act of love offered to Christ Himself.

Help us recognize Jesus in those who are hungry and thirsty. Give us generous hearts and willing hands so that we may respond to their needs with love.

St. Teresa reminded us that people do not die from hunger simply because there is no provision, but because others fail to share what they have. May her example teach us to overcome selfishness and become generous stewards of Your gifts.

Help us recognize Christ in families that are struggling, broken or hurting. Teach us to notice the suffering within our own families and to respond with patience, forgiveness and love.

St. Teresa reminded us that there can be a deep hunger for love within our own homes. Help us discover those who need our attention and affection and give us the courage to love them generously.

Help us recognize Christ in every mother and child, especially those facing fear, poverty, abandonment or difficult circumstances. Give us wisdom to offer compassionate support and practical help to those who feel they have no hope.

St. Teresa encouraged people to welcome every child as a precious gift and to surround mothers with love and assistance. Teach us to become people who protect life by supporting women, children and families in need.

Through her compassionate service, many who were rejected or forgotten experienced dignity, friendship and hope. Give us hearts that are pure, merciful and generous like hers.

Help us see Christ in those trapped by addiction, exploitation, loneliness or imprisonment. May we never allow prejudice or fear to prevent us from showing them compassion.

St. Teresa reminded us that suffering can draw us closer to Christ. Teach us to accompany those who suffer with patience, understanding and love, while helping them discover hope and the dignity given to them by God.

St. Teresa looked to Mary as an example of joyful mission: Mary welcomed Jesus into her life and then hurried to bring His presence to others. Teach us to do the same—to receive Christ wholeheartedly and then go forth in love to serve others.
