HASSAN, August 21, 2026: More than 20 companies from Hassan, Mysuru and Bengaluru will participate in a free placement drive for graduates and postgraduates at St Joseph’s College, B. Katihalli, near Dairy Circle, Hassan, on August 25.
The initiative is being organised by the college as part of its commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, service and nation-building. It aims to connect degree holders with suitable employment opportunities.
The college had organised its first placement drive in July 2025 for degree holders from Hassan district and other areas. Of the 192 candidates who participated, 121 received job offers.
This year’s drive is open to graduates and postgraduates with qualifications including BBA, BCom, BCA, BA, BSc, BE, BTech, MA, MBA, MCom, MCA and MTech. Participating companies are expected to offer salaries of Rs 18,000 and above.
Companies that have confirmed their participation include Magical Business, Adecco, Team Lease, Innov Source, Kishana Ventures, Hi-Centrix, I Process, MedPlus, Glowlogics, Assort 1crop, Apollo Pharmacy, Muthoot Finance, K12 Techno, Elytespark, Skillentrix and Lyrostech.
Other participating organisations include Amossys Consulting Services, Vlinkin Professionals LLP, HDFC Life, Hassan, Yaksha Interiors, Hassan, Trinity Manpower Solutions and C Interiors, Hassan.
A free pre-placement workshop will be held on August 24, with trainers from Bengaluru conducting sessions on resume preparation, interview skills, communication, soft skills and understanding job descriptions.
HR representatives of participating companies will conduct interviews at the college on August 25.

Fr Olvin Veigas, SJ, of the Industry-Academia Connect and Placement Department, said the initiative was intended to help young degree holders find suitable employment opportunities at the right time.
The college has appealed to educational institutions, newspapers and media organisations to publicise the drive widely so that more graduates from Hassan and neighbouring areas can benefit from the opportunity.
