Pontifical Mission Organization Inspires Jesus Youth 33rd Batch Full-Time Volunteers

Bengaluru, PMO Office, 24 July 2025:The 33rd batch of the Jesus Youth Full-Time Volunteers Training Programme is presently taking place at Atmadarshan, Aluva, under the guidance of the Discalced Carmelites of the Manjummel Province in Kerala. This intensive formation programme is shaping young hearts for a year of dedicated missionary service across India.

Sr Margarita Dias SCB was invited to spend two enriching days with the young volunteers, representing Bishop Ambrose, Bishop of Vellore and the National Director of the Pontifical Mission Organizations (PMO). Speaking on behalf of the PMO, Sr Margarita introduced the volunteers to the global mission of the Church, explaining the significance of the PMO as the Church’s official missionary outreach arm. Her engaging talk emphasized the PMO’s role in cultivating missionary awareness, supporting mission dioceses, and building a spirit of global solidarity in the faith.

In addition to her official message, Sr Margarita conducted two key sessions: Christian Leadership and The Role of Youth in Mission and Evangelization. These were not mere lectures but lively, interactive moments involving group activities, personal sharing, multimedia clips, and vibrant action songs. Her passion for mission and her firsthand experiences created a learning environment that was both inspiring and deeply moving.

Sr Margarita also offered a heartfelt testimony of her own missionary journey, filled with personal stories of challenges and grace. Her witness left a visible impact on the participants, stirring their enthusiasm and awakening in them a renewed passion to serve as true ambassadors of Christ.

The two days were spiritually uplifting and community-centered, filled with prayer, sharing, and joyful celebrations. A cultural evening brought together the diversity of the group in a beautiful display of unity. Sr Margarita’s joyful participation in an action song brought a burst of energy that the young people truly cherished.

Another highlight was the visit to the tombs of Jesus Youth pioneers, Fr Cherian and Miss Ajina. Standing before the resting places of these missionary trailblazers brought a moment of silence, reverence, and motivation for the volunteers to walk in their footsteps with courage and conviction.

As the programme drew to a close, the insights and energy imparted by Sr Margarita—particularly her explanation of the PMO's vision—left a lasting impression. Her presence served not only as a voice of encouragement but also as a bridge connecting the young volunteers to the Church’s universal missionary call.

Our sincere gratitude to Mr Midhun Paul, International Coordinator of Jesus Youth, whose openness and leadership made this meaningful collaboration with the Pontifical Mission Organizations possible.

Sr Margarita conveyed the prayers, blessings, and special congratulations of Bishop Ambrose, the National Director of PMO, appreciating the 33rd batch for their generosity and commitment to serve the Lord as Jesus Youth Full-Timers. She reminded them that the Church counts on their witness, and that their “yes” matters to the world.
