Three-Day Lenten Retreat Ignites Spiritual Growth Among Youth in Poona

Poona, 7 April, 2025: A three-day Lenten retreat, organised by the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Poona, was held from 4 to 6 April at Lord’s Ranch in Mulashi, Poona. The retreat drew 144 youth participants seeking spiritual reflection and renewal during the Lenten season.

The sessions were led by Fr. Joyston, Fr. Dinesh, Fr. Vilas, and Youth Director Fr. Rohan, in collaboration with the Poona Diocese Executive Committee (Dexco) team. Through prayer, reflection, and community engagement, the retreat offered participants an opportunity to deepen their faith and grow spiritually.

Described by attendees as a transformative and enriching experience, the retreat emphasised a collective journey of faith and hope, aligning with the theme of being “pilgrims of hope.”

The days spent in prayer and fellowship inspired the youth to return to their communities with renewed purpose, strengthened in faith, and ready to be active witnesses of Christ’s love in the world.
