Regional Youth Convention Cross Visits Agartala Diocese, Inspiring Young Catholics

Agartala, 21 March 2025 – The Regional Youth Convention (RYC) Cross made a historic visit to the Agartala Diocese, bringing a moment of deep spiritual rejuvination for young Catholics. Held at Don Bosco Parish, Nandannagar, the event attracted over 200 enthusiastic youths from across the diocese.


The RYC Cross was received with a solemn and reverent ceremony. Sr. Wansuk Lyngdoh (RYLA) and Mr. Jonah Huimingam (RYP) formally handed it over to the DEXCO members of the Agartala Diocese. The day also included adoration, confession, and the celebration of the Holy Mass.


Rev. Fr. Christopher Warlarpih, S.D.B., presided over the Mass, with Rev. Fr. K.M. Allwin, Rev. Fr. Antony Balan, and Fr. Derrick Augustin concelebrating. The attendees solemnly venerated the RYC Cross, contemplating its significance and deepening their spiritual connection. Representing Bishop Lumen, the Agartala Diocese Youth Commission presented the gathered youths with a YOUCAT Faith Course Book as a gift.


Young participants prayed, sang, and worshipped together, filling the atmosphere with devotion. Many expressed a renewed sense of faith and community, making the gathering a success.


The Agartala Diocese expressed its gratitude for hosting the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) North East’s RYC Cross on its spiritual journey and looks forward to more initiatives that nurture the faith and growth of its youth.
