ICYM Delhi Prepares Youth for Active Discipleship and Mission in the Church

New Delhi, February 24, 2025 – The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Delhi South Zone 2 successfully organised its Zonal Youth Mass and Gathering at St. Philip’s Church on February 23, bringing together 100-120 young participants from six parishes.

The event commenced with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration, fostering a spirit of unity and faith among the attendees. An animation and ice-breaking session set the tone for the gathering, followed by an address from Justin Akash, the Zonal Incharge from DEXCO, who highlighted the significance of youth involvement in the Church.

A session on mental health and stress management, led by Kirti Lata Bodra, provided valuable insights into emotional well-being and resilience. The Diocesan Youth Director, Fr. Maria Antony, offered words of encouragement, urging the youth to remain steadfast in their faith and actively contribute to their communities.

The initiative "Witness the National Convention" was introduced, along with a presentation of the Catholic Connect App, highlighting its role in strengthening youth engagement through digital resources and faith-based networking.

The gathering concluded with a renewed sense of spiritual purpose, inspiring the youth to live out their faith with greater conviction. Participants left encouraged to be witnesses of Christ in their daily lives, carrying forward the mission of the Church.
