Compassion in Action: CRI Shillong Observes World Day of the Sick at Nazareth Hospital

Shillong, 11th February— In a spirit of compassion and solidarity, the CRI Shillong Laitumkhrah Circle commemorated the World Day of the Sick at Nazareth Hospital.

Coordinated by Sr. Shalini FSP and Sr. Norien HCM, the program began with a warm introduction by Sr. Christina MSMHC in Khasi, followed by a Scripture reading in English by Bro. Stany SG. Sr. Cecilia Sad, VSDB, led a touching prayer for the sick, while aspirants from St. Margaret’s Convent sang a Marian hymn. A moving skit by Rapsbun nursing students brought the event to life, closing with a final hymn.

The gathering emphasised the power of faith in times of illness and the role of community in uplifting the suffering. Many attendees found solace in the prayers and reflections shared during the event.

This initiative was a testament to CRI Shillong’s Jubilee Year Pilgrims of Hope action plan, embodying care and solidarity.
