CCBI Hosts Eighth Batch of Women Religious Financial Administrators’ Course

Benaulim, February 11, 2025 – Shanti Sadan, the CCBI Extension Secretariat, is organising the Eighth Batch of the Financial Management Training Programme for provincials and provincial financial administrators of women's religious congregations from February 11-15, 2025. The course is witnessing the participation of 36 sisters from 12 congregations, focusing on enhancing financial transparency and management within religious institutions.


Fr. Duming Gonsalves, the administrator of Shanti Sadan, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource persons. Fr. Arulraj Gali CSC was the main celebrant of the inaugural Mass. Rev. Dr. Aleixo Menezes emphasised the importance of transparency in financial management, underscoring its role in building trust and credibility within religious congregations and affiliated institutions. He also delivered an orientation talk to the participants.


Mr. Sunil Gonsalves, C.A., and Mr. Gaver S. Lobo, C.A., served as resource persons, guiding the sisters through various aspects of financial administration. In addition to the intensive training sessions, participants embarked on a pilgrimage to significant religious sites in Goa, including Bom Jesus Basilica, Sé Cathedral, and the Church of the Cross of Miracles in Old Goa. They also visited the St. Joseph Vaz Centre in Old Goa, the Tomb of Agnel in Pilar, St. Joseph Vaz Church in Sancoale, and St. John Baptist Church in Benaulim.


Shanti Sadan in Goa offers specialised courses tailored to the needs of Catholic administrators, including the Financial Management Course for diocesan and provincial financial administrators and the Diocesan Administration Course designed for Vicar Generals and Chancellors.
