Carmelite Monastery in Goa Organises 40 Hours Eucharistic Adoration


GOA, March 14, 2025: The Carmelite Monastery in Margao, Goa, hosted the 11th 40 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration on March 13 and 14, 2025. Bringing together the faithful for continuous prayer, reflection, and devotion before the Blessed Sacrament, the Adoration served as a profound spiritual encounter


The celebration of the Eucharist was presided over by Fr. Marlon Rodrigues OCD, Superior of the Carmelite Monastery, followed by a procession with the Eucharistic Lord. The theme for this Jubilee Year’s Adoration was “Pilgrims of Hope in Christ.” Fr. Marlon encouraged the faithful to use this time of Adoration to deepen their relationship with Jesus and foster unity in faith.


Over the two days, 27 groups led the Adoration according to their designated times. Taizé prayer sessions were also held, led by Fr. Joseph Souza OCD, Deacon Prithesh Crasta OCD, and Deacon Pranay Pereira OCD


Fr. Shinu Paulose VC, Director of Divine Nuvem Goa, and his team guided the Night Vigil. Additionally, the Way of the Cross was a significant part of the event. The two-day celebration concluded with the Solemn Blessing of the Lord, followed by a Eucharistic Mass, which was presided over by Fr. Gabriel Coutinho, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Rosary Church, Navelim.


Delivering the homily, Fr. Gabriel appealed to the faithful gathered to take Jesus as the hope in these present hopeless situations. Fr. Marlon Rodrigues OCD, expressed his sentiments of gratitude.


The 40 Hours of Eucharistic Adoration was a spiritually enriching event, uniting the faithful in prayer, reflection, and hope. It also inspired participants to strengthen their faith and trust in Jesus.
