Belgaum, Nov 14, 2025: Celebrating their Christian identity, young people from across Belgaum diocese gathered at Divine Providence Convent High School for Youth Fiesta – Season 2, organised by the Canossian Sisters in collaboration with the Belgaum Diocesan Youth Movement (BDYM). With the theme “Sustaining Hope,” the event offered them an opportunity to connect, learn, and engage in meaningful activities together.
Youth from 13 parishes across the deaneries of Belgaum, Khanapur, and Chikodi participated with remarkable enthusiasm. The presence of over 200 young people transformed the campus into a hub of energy, creativity, and community spirit.
The day featured a variety of engaging activities that blended Scripture, creativity, and sport. Participants competed in 3-a-side Football for Boys, Volleyball for Boys, Throwball for Girls, a Surprise Event, Reel Making, and a Bible Quiz, all inspired by Biblical characters. The competitions provided a unique opportunity for the youth to deepen their understanding of Scripture while showcasing their teamwork and talent.
A key highlight was an input session by Sr. Audrey, the Provincial Superior, who delivered an inspiring reflection on the theme: “Youth Unstoppable – Hope, Undying – Love, and Unquenchable – Spirit.” She encouraged the young participants to embrace their Christian identity with courage, passion, and purpose.
At the heart of the celebrations was the Holy Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. Pramod Kumar, with Fr. Philip Kutti and Fr. Harry Victor D’Cruz concelebrating, adding spiritual depth and blessing to the event.
