A new song, Goemkaranchea Mogacho Sant Francis Amcho, has just been released as an emotional offering that resonates deeply with Goans and people worldwide. Fr. Domnic Carvalho, in collaboration with xRapid Media LLP and Mark Revlon, renowned singer, songwriter, drummer and music producer unveiled this soul-stirring tribute to St. Francis Xavier, Goa’s cherished patron saint, on the day of the inaugural of the decennial exposition of the saint’s sacred relics.

Mark Revlon’s powerful and magical voice makes this song a timeless rendition. This release follows the massive success of Goemcho Saib, Mark Revlon’s 2021 super-hit song commemorating the 50th anniversary of St. Francis Xavier Church, Mormugao, which garnered nearly 1 million views on YouTube. Through songs like these, Mark has consistently highlighted the unifying power of faith and devotion to St. Francis Xavier, whom Goans lovingly regard as their Goemcho Saib.

The poignant lyrics of Goemkaranchea Mogacho Sant Francis Amcho were penned by celebrated Goan songwriter Pio Agnelo Fernandes, whose compositions have touched hearts across the globe. Known for iconic works like Mog Amkam Goyenchea Saibacho and Dis Udelo, Pio’s words in this tribute beautifully encapsulate the love and faith Goans hold for their patron saint. The songwriter attributes his inspiration to divine grace, considering his talent a gift meant to uplift the downtrodden.

The song concept, envisioned by Fr. Domnic Carvalho, not only honours the saint’s life but also deeply resonates with Goan culture and spirituality. Fr. Domnic brought together a team of Goa’s finest artists, singers, composers, and cinematographers to craft this musical homage as a celebration of the saint’s enduring impact.

Adding a sacred dimension to the music video is the visual centrepiece of the song, that is, the iconic Bragança Pereira Mansion in Chandor which has a family chapel housing a relic of the saint. This setting beautifully intertwines the grandeur of Goan history with the spiritual essence of the tribute.
