Delhi Catholic Lawyers Forum Elects New Team

New Delhi, July 19, 2025 : In a noteworthy development for the Delhi region, Adv. Fr. Siby Eravimangalam CMF has been elected as the new President of the Delhi Lawyers Forum (DLF) Trust. The election took place during a meeting held at the Office of the CCBI Commission for Migrants, located in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi.


The DLF Trust, which consists of 14 registered members, convened to elect its new leadership. Following deliberation, Fr. Siby Eravimangalam CMF was appointed to lead the Trust as President.


The meeting began with a formal vote of thanks to the outgoing President, Adv. Fr. Ravi Sagar SJ, who was deeply appreciated for his wholehearted dedication to the founding of the Trust and for his committed and professional leadership throughout his term.


The members also reviewed the progress of ongoing initiatives and discussed plans for future engagements. A major focus remains on legal awareness and the defence of rights for the poor and marginalised, particularly migrants and displaced families.


In his remarks following the election, Fr. Siby CMF said:

"The DLF Trust must continue to intervene meaningfully to promote the cause of the poor and the marginalised. Our presence must translate into protection, dignity, and hope for those most in need.”


The new leadership team also includes:


  • Sr. Sayujya as Secretary


  • Fr. Jaison Vadassery as Treasurer


  • Sr. Mary Scaria as Member


  • Sr. Sneha Gill as Member


With its renewed leadership and collective commitment, the DLF Trust remains a vital force in advancing justice and legal empowerment. The Forum continues to look ahead with purpose, focusing on compassion and tangible support for society’s most vulnerable.
