Claretian Congregation Ordains Two New Deacons

Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, November 11, 2025: In a moment filled with joy, gratitude, and spiritual fervor, the Claretian Congregation (Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary – CMF) celebrated the Diaconate Ordination of two of its members — Br. Priyan T, CMF, and Br. Lucas Bibar, CMF — at the Claret Illam Seminary Chapel, Kumbakonam, on Friday, November 7, 2025.

Bishop Jeevanatham Amalanathan of Kumbakonam, presided over the sacred rite and conferred the Order of Diaconate upon the two candidates. In his homily, Bishop Amalanathan reflected on the model of servant leadership exemplified by Christ, urging the newly ordained deacons to be faithful dispensers of God’s Word and the Sacraments and to cultivate a deep spirit of humility and service in their ministry.

The celebration was attended by Claretian priests, seminarians, religious, and lay faithful, who joined in prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of new vocations in the Church.
